I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, license number: LF60618144. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from the University of Washington (2002) and a Master of Science degree from Seattle Pacific University (2013). I have experience and enjoy working with adults, adolescents and children, in the contexts of individual, couple and family therapy. I believe collaboration is essential, and work together with people to identify goals, set expectations and assess the therapeutic process.
From 2011 to 2015, I worked for Kent Youth and Family Services, providing individual and group therapy for children, adolescents and their families in both the agency and various school settings, ranging from elementary through high school.
I also served as an assessment research assistant (2011-2013) for the Collaborative Adolescent Research on Emotion and Suicide (CARES) study–a combined effort of the Behavioral Research and Therapy Clinics at the University of Washington, Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of California, Los Angeles. There, I conducted comprehensive psychological and behavioral assessments with adolescents–and their respective caregivers–struggling with internal, external and relational psychological stressors, emotion regulation, self-harm and suicidal ideation and/or action.
I truly love this work, and I am passionate about helping youth, adults, couples and families grow within and outside of therapy. I am happy to talk with you any time to answer questions about me as a therapist, my style and/or the therapeutic process in general.
